Website information
Your information, handled with care.
This notice explains how A Coffey Roofing & Construction uses personal information when you visit this website or discuss a building, renovation or roofing project with us. This is a review version of the website. Its form does not send or store enquiries; the enquiry-handling sections below describe the intended live service.
Who is responsible
A Coffey Roofing & Construction is responsible for deciding how information supplied in a project enquiry is used. For a privacy question or a request about your information, use the contact details on our contact page and tell us that your message concerns privacy.
Information you choose to provide
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, project postcode, service of interest and a message. A telephone number is optional. We use the information you provide to understand the work, check the project location and respond to you.
Please keep your message relevant to the project. The form does not accept attachments. Do not include payment-card details, identity documents, medical information or other sensitive personal information. If more detail is needed, we can agree an appropriate way to share it.
Website visits
The website is hosted by Netlify. Delivering and protecting the website involves processing technical request information, which can include your IP address, browser details, requested page and the time of the request.
We have not added advertising trackers, visitor analytics, social-media tracking pixels or embedded maps to this website. Our cookies page explains the website features in more detail.
How and why we use enquiries
We use project enquiries to answer questions, discuss requirements, arrange the next steps and, where requested, prepare a quotation. Where this involves taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, our lawful basis is the contractual steps you have asked us to take.
For general correspondence and keeping the website secure, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and protecting our services. We consider whether those interests are balanced against your rights. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing messages.
Service providers and project coordination
For a live enquiry form, Netlify processes and stores the submission for us and provides spam filtering. People authorised to manage enquiries may access that information to respond to you.
If your project progresses, we may need to share relevant project information with the electricians, plumbers, plasterers or other trades involved in preparing or carrying out the agreed work. We share information relevant to that purpose rather than the whole enquiry by default. We may also need to provide information where the law requires us to do so.
Where information is processed
Website hosting and form providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Provider arrangements and any safeguards applying to an international transfer form part of how we manage those services. You can contact us for more information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
We keep enquiry information for the time needed to respond, deal with reasonable follow-up and maintain records relevant to the enquiry. If work goes ahead, some information becomes part of the project and business records.
Retention depends on the purpose of the record, whether the project is ongoing and any legal or accounting requirements that apply. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised; it is not retained simply because storage is available.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see the personal information held about you, correct inaccurate details, request deletion, restrict its use or receive certain information in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
These rights have conditions and exceptions. We may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records before responding. We do not use your enquiry to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Questions or concerns
Please contact us first if you have a question about how your information has been used. You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website or the way enquiries are handled changes. The version displayed here describes the current website.
